App Data Privacy Policy

MegaTech AI (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments, including any in-game virtual items, which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.
In light of the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA) regulations coming into effect on 1 July 2021, we would like to assure you that protecting your personal information is one of our top priorities. MegaTech AI is committed to safeguarding the personal data of our users and collecting information that is required to operate the platforms/apps, service membership, manage user benefits and improve our offering in line with changing user needs.
The purpose of POPIA is to protect your right to privacy and to regulate how personal information is processed. Based on its conditions, upfront and proactive consent and compliance is essential.
In addition, MegaTech AI may be required to share your personal information with some of our suppliers, service providers and business partners to ensure seamless service delivery to you. Personal Data
Demographic and other personally identifiable information (such as your name and email address) that you voluntarily give to us when choosing to participate in various activities related to the Application, such as chat, posting messages in comment sections or in our forums, liking posts, sending feedback, and responding to surveys. If you choose to share data about yourself via your profile, online chat, or other interactive areas of the Application, please be advised that all data you disclose in these areas is public and your data will be accessible to anyone who accesses the Application.
Derivative Data
Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Application, such as your native actions that are integral to the Application, including liking, re-blogging, or replying to a post, as well as other interactions with the Application and other users via server log files.

Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that MegaTech AI may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the Application. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.

In-App Advertising
The Application may display a third-party-hosted “in-app advertising.” Such an in-app advertising allows third-party advertisers to offer virtual currency, gifts, or other items to users in return for acceptance and completion of an advertisement offer. Such an in-app advertising may appear in the Application and be displayed to you based on certain data, such as your geographic area or demographic information. When you click on an in-app advertising, you will leave the Application. A unique identifier, such as your user ID, will be shared with the in-app advertising provider in order to prevent fraud and properly credit your account.
Social Media Contacts
If you connect to the Application through a social network, your contacts on the social network will see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity.
Other Third Parties
MegaTech AI may share your information with advertisers and investors for the purpose of conducting general business analysis. We may also share your information with such third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.
Sale or Bankruptcy
If MegaTech AI reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we may transfer your information to the successor entity. If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. Right to Privacy – The South African constitution
Section 14 of the 1996 Constitution of the Republic of South Africa provides for an express, justiciable right to privacy. It states:

(d) the privacy of their communications infringed.”
This superseded section 13 of the interim Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Act 200 of 1993 (“the interim Constitution”), which was framed in largely the same terms.
Section 10 of the Constitution also contains a right to human dignity: “Everyone has inherent dignity and the right to have their dignity respected and protected.”
The Constitution is the supreme law in South Africa (section 2), and the state is required to respect, protect, promote and fulfil the rights in the Bill of Rights (section 7(2)). All rights in the Bill of Rights can be limited by a law of general application, to the extent that the limitation is reasonable and justifiable in an open and democratic society (section 36). How do I register with MegaTech AI ?
To register as a user, click here or on Register at the top of the MegaTech AI website and create an account. We’ll need your full name, e-mail address, a password of 5 characters, your gender and at least one contact number.
How do I buy something from MegaTech AI?
Keyword search boxes are located on nearly every page of the website. You will also find links to browse lists and more detailed product-specific searches in the top and left navigation bar of each department. When you find a product that interests you, click the title or name of the product to see its details, including availability and dispatch estimate times.
Found the products you want to buy? Click on Add to cart. Your shopping cart contains all the products that you have selected to buy. Once you’ve added a product to your shopping cart, you can go back and keep searching and adding to your cart. You can access the contents of your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the green cart button at the top right of any page on the MegaTech AIwebsite.
You can also add products to your Wish List, which is a handy list of all the products that you do not want to check out with immediately, or which are out of stock but that you want to remember for later. You can move products between your shopping cart and your Wish List. Products have to be in your shopping cart for you to check out.

What if I don’t have the original shipping packaging?
How do I return a product?
Login to your MegaTech AI account on the website or app and initiate the exchange or return process by completing the online request form.
Click here to log your exchange or return now.
Pack the product in its original packaging (if you still have it), and into a shipping box or other packaging to protect the products during transit. Remember that if you are returning a product because you changed your mind, you must have the original product packaging – which must be intact and undamaged (but you do not have to have the original shipping packaging). Unboxed Deals have slightly different requirements – please see the Unboxed Deals FAQ below.
Please include the return reference (the RRN number at the top of your email) in or on the outside of the parcel so that we can easily identify your return.
Our couriers will contact you within 1 to 2 business days after you have logged your return, to arrange the collection.

Please first log your request on the website or app and select to return the product yourself before going to the MegaTech AICape Town warehouse.
Once your returned product has been validated by Takealot’s quality team, your account will be credited, unless you have requested a replacement or an exchange.
Once your MegaTech AIaccount has been credited, you can use the credit towards other purchase on the website.
Alternatively, once you have received confirmation that your account has been credited, you can request a refund instead of the credit.
Please note that we only refund to the payment method that you originally used – i.e. payment by credit card will be refunded to the same credit card, payment by EFT or COD (cash on delivery) will be refunded to your nominated bank account, and payment by Discovery Miles or eBucks will be refunded to your Discovery Miles or eBucks account.
If you’re returning a sale product, the reduced price paid at the time of the transaction will be refunded back to you.
